About Karen Lemburg

Hi I'm Karen, wife, mother and grandmother. I am on the journey of a more intimate relationship with God. I'm blessed to married to a wonderful husband who is also in pursuit of intimacy with our Lord. We work together in real estate and ministry. We have four children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Adventure

My child, you belong to Me. You are My chosen, beloved, bought and paid for bride. Because I love you with an everlasting love, you can trust Me with your life. My plans for you are good. Let go of everything you’ve been holding on to and let Me embrace you fully into My bosom. This life is not meant to be a drudgery or boring. Come to Me for the adventure of a lifetime.

Bold and Confident

My child, hold fast to your boldness and confident access through faith in Me and do not lose heart. For I strengthen you with My power and fill you up to all the fullness of God. I am able to do far more abundantly beyond all that you ask or think according to the power that works within you. Trust Me and give Me the glory in all things.

Ephesians 3: 12-21

Complete Satisfaction

My child, I am the only One that brings complete satisfaction to your soul. You may think if only you had that thing, relationship or position you would be happy, but once you reached that, or achieved it, or obtained it, the emptiness would return. I alone fill the void. Spending time with Me and developing relationship with Me is the only thing that brings complete satisfaction. I made you this way.

Thanksgiving and Praise

My child, seek Me, rejoice in Me, believe Me and trust Me. When you ask, it will be given. When you seek, you will find. When you knock, it will be opened to you. Come into My presence with gladness. Enter into My gates with thanksgiving and praise for I am a good God. My lovingkindness is everlasting and My faithfulness is to all generations.

Ongoing Lifestyle Choices

A few of us in our church and several hundred on an on-line health and fitness site just completed a 14 week Summer Challenge. The goal was not just to lose weight, but to change your body composition. Therefore, weight lifting was incorporated as well as cardio and a huge part of the program is about nutrition. Now that the official challenge is over, the goals need to be re-set so the fat doesn’t come back on. I’ve been involved in 6 of these challenges over the past 3 years. Over and over again I see some who had worked so hard put the weight right back on because they go right back to their old ways of doing things. This has happened to me too. So what can be done to change that this time? How can we hold onto the gains we’ve made, or should I say the losses we’ve accomplished?

The secret is in the goal setting. A huge part of this program is the mental game. When we continue to set life changing goals and continue to work toward those goals, we can continue to see improvement from ‘challenge’ to challenge. Life long self-improvement and personal development. Isn’t that what we all want? Not just physically, but spiritually, emotionally, educationally and in every other area of our lives? A vision or mission has no end date. Get a big one. Seek God, asking Him what His purpose for your life is. Don’t put limitations on what God wants for you. Then go about setting small, mid range and long term goals to get you there. That’s the secret of any success in this life. And don’t forget to stay surrendered to God. Keep your dreams and desires fully surrendered to Him and He will give you the desires of your heart, since it’s Him who puts them there in the first place.

A Holy Calling

My child, I have saved you and called you with a holy calling, not according to your works, but according to My own purpose and grace which was granted to you in Christ Jesus from all eternity. Therefore, walk by My Spirit and you will not carry out the deeds of the flesh. Guard your heart and I will give you understanding in everything.
