Don’t Go It Alone

My child, what are you doing trying to navigate your life all by yourself? You weren’t created to go this life alone. I formed you in your mother’s womb and have a distinct purpose for your life. But you will only find My purpose when you are rooted and grounded in Me. Seek My Face. Be open to My Voice. Study My Word. I will reveal Myself to you as you surrender yourself to Me.

Your Father in heaven who has THE plan for your life.

Psalm 139:13

One Day At A Time

My child, take this journey one day at a time. Make plans for the future, but be open to Me and ready to change plans if My Spirit moves you in a different direction than you expected. Don’t be so transfixed on your own way. My ways are so much higher than yours. Remain as clay in My hand. Let Me mold you and shape you into the image I have of you, for there is nothing more beautiful than a life fully surrendered and wholly devoted to Me.

Your Father who is crazy about you.

Exploring “Self”

Have you ever wondered why cars are called automobiles? I’m sure you’ve spent many hours pondering this very thing! Well, the car was given the name automobile not because it automatically drives itself, like an autopilot flies a plane, but because it is self-propelled. The automobile doesn’t need a horse to pull it or legs to pedal it since its built-in engine provides the power to move it along. So what, you might ask? Well, this name is very relevant to our discussion because the auto in automobile originally comes from the Greek word autos, meaning self.

Being self means that we are autonomous as to our decisions—in a figurative sense, self-propelled. It means that though we are absolutely dependent on God, even to the point of taking our next breath, He has designed us such that we are endowed with the capacity of independence in regard to the choices we make for our lives.

Self is simply me, a personal being given the glorious gift of existence and awareness. “It is the man’s “I AM,” a gift from the I AM who created him…,” as A. W. Tozer puts it. But this gift of being has the effect of placing me at the center of my own personal universe. Asked if we think the world revolves around us, most of us would deny it. Yet given the nature of me, it would be hard to truly believe otherwise!

Answers

My child, I am your Provider, your Protector and your Shield. I alone am your Savior and Deliverer. Never look to the world for your deliverance. It’s in Me alone that you are saved, healed and delivered. The world will try to convince you that it has all the answers, but I alone am your answer. Put your trust in Me and not the world and it’s deceptive culture. The world will try to drag you down, but I will lift you up.

Soon

My child, soon you will see My glory manifested in what seems like impossible circumstance. Soon you will know and be amazed at how I work ALL things out for good. I am always at work. I never slumber or sleep. Even in the quiet times, rest assured I am working. I am near and I hear your prayers. Never think for a moment that I don’t hear you or that I don’t care. I ALWAYS hear and I care more than you can imagine. O taste and see that I am good. Come and take refuge in Me.

Psalm 34:8

Vibrant Relationship!

Can you see how important it is to have the presence of the Holy Spirit indwelling our being? Only through an impartation of His life can our conscience be restored to a healthy state. Our conscience then has tremendous influence on our will, which in turn is able to dictate itself more intentionally to the thoughts and feelings of our mind.

The transformation of the mind brings about change in our behavior not merely by attempting to control our flesh through an external system of do’s and don’ts. Rather, genuine change comes from a deep rebuilding of our character—that quality which directs our actions from within and stands firm no matter what we find facing us.

None of it’s possible, though, without a vibrant connection with the Spirit of God. Consequently, developing a lifestyle of communing with God is the key to genuine change. We can’t simply pay lip-service to this spiritual discipline. It has to be real; it must be alive.

Vibrancy in any relationship comes as the result of intimacy. The beauty of it is that such intimacy with God is not only possible, but His design brings with it the expectationfor both growth and bountiful flowering in each and every one of His children. But if that’s truly the case, why do we so often stubbornly refuse it? In a word: self.

Hidden Wealth

My child, whom I have anointed and taken by the right hand. I have opened doors before you that will not be shut. I will go before you and make the rough places smooth. I will shatter the doors that seem impenetrable and I will give you the treasures of darkness, the hidden wealth of secret places, so that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name. Believe Me My child and do not doubt or fret. Walk forward in the confidence of My power.

Isaiah 45:1-3

Don’t Fear The Future

  • My child, don’t fear the future. Haven’t I always taken care of you? I will continue to care for all the things that concern you. Your job is to have faith and continue to believe Me even when you don’t see anything happening. Without faith it’s impossible to please Me. Keep believing My child, keep believing.

Psalm 18:19   Hebrews 11:6
