Thankful

Beloved, there is so much to be thankful for. Set your mind on things above, not on what you see here on earth. Be on the alert, the devil prowls around looking for someone to devour. Guard your heart and mind. Be equipped with My armor. I have not called you to wallow in the muck and mire of negativity. I gave you life, joy and peace in the Holy Spirit. Represent Me well while you are here on earth. Colossians 3:2  1 Peter 5:8 Romans 14:17

Be Thankful

My child, I want you to be thankful and joyful. No matter how hard things are on this earth, rejoice in the fact that you have Me living inside you. Have a grateful heart and seek justice and kindness. Let My love flow from you. You represent Me on this earth. Show people who I really am.

Micah 6:8

Perfect Plan

My child, let the depth and the magnitude of what I did for you on the cross minister to you today. Let My love, strength and joy fill you and replace all the other thoughts and emotions you may be feeling today. Rejoice in the fact that you have the opportunity and privilege of not only spending eternity with Me, but you are an intricate part of My perfect plan here and now. Walk in My love and by My Spirit today and have a thankful heart. Serve Me with gladness and come before me with joyful singing. I am your God and you belong to Me.

Psalm 100:2

The Power of being Thankful

I’m reading a book that mentions another book by Deborah Norville called “Thank you Power” Making the Science of Gratitude Work for You. In it she tells a story about a man named David, who found himself discouraged. He had moved to Manhattan with high hopes of landing a well-paying job and living in a nice apartment, only to end up with a meager salary as an assistant and living with a friend because he couldn’t afford a place of his own.

One Saturday morning, while out on a job assignment, David decided to start counting things that made him happy. He started by smiling at the sight of a mother walking her baby, then realized seeing a jet make its way across the sky made him happy. He noticed fabulous aromas from cafes he passed and enjoyed bright, colorful displays in store windows. By the time he completed his assignment, he was once again happy-and he was actually thankful he had moved to New York.

More than twenty years later, David is a successful entrepreneur, but he’s never forgotten the day that turned his life around–the day he learned about the power of being thankful.

Get out a piece of paper right now and start listing things you have to be thankful for. Keep the list and add to it frequently. Make it a point to think about the things that you’re grateful for when you’re out and about. You can only learn the “power of thank you” by practicing it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I delight in you

My child, give generously, love lavishly, and have a thankful heart. I delight in you and I desire that you delight in Me. Open your heart to all that I have for you. Even the hard things can produce much fruit. Never despise your trials. They are there for your growth and to draw you closer to Me. Depend on Me for all things. I delight in you.

Thankfulness

My child, thankfulness opens up a life of joy. When you are thankful and have a grateful heart I am glorified and motivated to bless you with more. It’s when you judge, criticize and feel sorry for yourself that I back off and stay quiet. Don’t live your life in a bitter state of despair. Count your blessings and rejoice. Change your attitude and be thankful. There’s no better way to live.
