My child, My greatest desire is for you to know Me. In order for you to know Me, you need to spend time with Me. I desire to share all that I have for you. I desire to show you great and marvelous things. I long to pour out My Spirit, My power and My gifts. Come to Me My child with an open heart and open hands. Receive all I have for you. Remain open throughout the day. Keep alert in prayer for opportunities to receive from Me. I will give you words of knowledge. I will give you wisdom. I will give you love, kindness, gentleness and joy. Peace will wash over you and you will have self control. Receive long suffering with a thankful heart. Be patient and goodness and faithfulness will be your reward. Then turn and give these all away. All the gifts I give you are to be shared with others. This is My plan for your life. Receive in and give out. Just as you breath in, you must breath out. If you just keep breathing in you’ll suffocate and die.
Made Righteous & Free From Sin
My child, I have made you righteous. I have freed you from the power of sin and the bondage of this world. Never think you can do anything to earn your way into My good graces. You only need to believe. Believe that I died and rose again. Believe that My blood cleanses you from sin. Believe that you are Mine and walk in the provision I have given you. “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and that not of yourself, it is a gift of God. Not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2: 8&9
There Is Reward For Your Work
My child, be strong and do not lose courage, for there is reward for your work. Serve Me with a thankful heart. Rejoice and be glad. Do not seek your reward from man, but leave the outcome and rewards to Me. I alone satisfy your soul. Never look to this world for fulfillment. It will disappoint you every time.
2 Chronicles 15:7
Choose to Believe Me Today
My child, have I not given you promises in My word? Have I not assured you time and time again that I will take care of your needs? Trust Me then. Make the decision to believe Me instead of the lies of the evil one. I desire faith, not unbelief. Choose to believe Me and do not be anxious. I will bring about every promise and every word that I have for you. Set your eyes squarely on Me. Watch and see what I will do as you choose to believe Me today.
Empty Yourself
My child, I long to leave My impression on this world, and I desire to use you in this process. When you allow Me to love people through you, you leave a lasting and eternal impression on their heart. Nothing touches a hurting heart like My unconditional love. Let Me love through you. Open yourself and empty yourself so I can shine through. Make this your daily practice and watch Me display wonders and miracles. To make room for My Holy Spirit to work, you must empty yourself.
God’s Purpose and Plan for Your Life
My child, you have been searching for a long time for what My purpose and plan is for your life, but it’s in the small daily things that I have for you to do that I am well pleased. Most people don’t realize it’s in these small acts of obedience that results in a life worthy of the calling I have called them to. Faith requires daily obedience. Fruit results from a life connected to the Vine. I have called you to bear much fruit and the only way you can do that is to stay firmly rooted in Me. I cause the fruit to bud, grow and ripen. You are My branch which I use for this process to happen. Your job is to remain faithful and connected. My job is to do the rest. You do your part, let Me do mine.
Pursuing Growth in God
If we are ever to arrive at the fullness of all God has provided through Christ Jesus, we must be about “…attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Colossians 2:2-3) Still, knowledge is only of value when acted upon. And that’s why understanding our freedom from the power of sin is so vital. It provides us the basis for a more meaningful pursuit of God, in turn building the framework for unassailable spiritual growth.

Give – Pray – Fast
My child, ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matt. 7: 7&8.
On the other hand, give what I’m telling you to give, pray when I tell you to pray and fast when I tell you to fast. When I tell you to give something, the anointing for you to have it is no longer on it. It’s no longer yours and you won’t be able to enjoy it. When I ask you to pray, it’s because I want you to enter into the blessing of being a part of something greater than you yourself can accomplish. When I ask you to fast, I have major work to do. It can only be done through fasting and setting aside your entire being for a specific period of time. I’m tearing down strongholds and breaking bondages in you and others. You will be changed through fasting. I will give you the strength you need to give, pray and fast. Trust Me.
This World is Not Your Home
My child, let the things of this world fall off of you. This world and all its trappings is not your home. Fix your eyes on Me. Do only what I’m telling you to do. This world will fade away but My word remains. I am returning for a pure and spotless bride. Make yourself ready. Make sure your lamp is full of oil. Be prepared. I am coming when no one expects it. Long for My coming and keep watch over your soul. Let your heart, mind and soul be completely and wholly Mine.
A Child of God? Really?
“See how great a love the Father has for us that we would be called children of God? And such we are (1 John 3:1).” Yes, we are children of God! But saying “I am a child of God” often comes off a bit trite, doesn’t it. After all, have we stopped to consider what such a position really means?
What does being a child of God mean? To get just a glimpse, think about your own child for a moment. Do you remember holding him or her for the first time? How about the huge deposit of love and nurturing you invested as your child grew (or maybe is now growing) to maturity. Can you imagine what it would be like to lose that child to death or kidnapping? Heartbreaking doesn’t begin to convey the depth of emotion such an event would entail.
Does God actually feel this way about us? Yes–but to an even greater degree, for our love for our own is but a shadow of His love for us. His love for His children is incomprehensible to our finite mind.
So the next time you think or speak of being a child of God, stop and consider what it all really must mean. And then begin to take steps toward living it out as a reality. Begin to truly commune with Jesus each and every day, remembering how meaningful it is when our own kids make the effort to genuinely reach out to us. Let’s begin 2012 on a new foot!
