Hard Work

My child,  you want something that only comes from hard work and much discipline. If you want to be good at something, you have to work at it. It will not just come naturally or fall in your lap. To master a craft it takes time, knowledge, discipline and practice. Too many people are taking the easy way. They want comfort over success, pleasure over hard work. Set your heart and mind on Me and I will lead you in the way you should go. Will it be easy? No, but it will be worth it. Do not grow weary in doing good My child, for in due time you will be rewarded.

All That You Are

My child, all that you are, all that you ever will be, has been established and brought forth by Me. I created you and have chosen you to be My light in this dark world. Choose to grow in the knowledge and wisdom of My Word. Come into an intimate relationship with Me. Rise from the ashes of your past. Live in My Presence and leave your future to Me.

Confidence

My child, walk in the confidence that My Holy Spirit provides. Trust in Me with all your heart and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Me and I will make your path straight. I bring all wisdom, understanding and knowledge. I provide a secure life and will keep your feet from stumbling.

Proverbs 3: 5-6 & 21-23

Grace And Knowledge

My child, grow in the grace and knowledge I have given you. My unmerited favor is extended to all who come to Me. My word is available, alive and active. Come and sit in My Presence. Soak in al the love, grace, mercy and joy that I am offering you today. Rest in Me today. It’s where you find peace in this world.            2 Peter 3:18

Something New

My child, do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past, behold I will do something new. I delight in pouring out My Spirit on you, filling you with wisdom, knowledge, understanding and joy. Come to Me and experience the richness I have for you. Be filled with Me.

Isaiah 43:18-19   Proverbs 8:31,  9:10

Supply ALL Your Needs

My child, I shall supply all your needs according to My riches in glory. No matter what the day may bring, trust Me. Seek wisdom, knowledge and understanding, for they are better than silver or gold. Trust in Me and not riches. Seek Me, not wealth, for I shall give to you even in your sleep.

Philippians 4:19    Proverbs 8:12-21  Psalm 127:2

Renewing of the Mind

Although an attempt to produce genuine change in man’s behavior through discipline of the body may have some minor value, it ultimately never produces the desired effect.(Colossians 2:22-23) This is because it merely treats the symptoms rather than the disease, and only leads to heaping on a load of guilt when it fails to work. By its very nature, this strategy is doomed to failure because it simply bucks God’s design—His life flows not from the works of the flesh, but from the Spirit of God surging through the panel of our spirit.(John 15:5)

And here’s another prevalent misconception: the belief that we can transform ourselves by acquiring knowledge about the things of God. Can’t we? I hear a chorus of voices shouting, “Of course we can; how else can we grow in the knowledge of God and thus renew our minds?” The fact is that this too bucks God’s design. When Paul admonishes us not to “be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,” he doesn’t mean merely the intellect. Rather, he means the transformation of our mind defined as the inner man—our immaterial nature integrated with the physical mind.(Romans12:2)

But doesn’t gaining more knowledge about God mean that our heart will change in the process? Well, in a sense it does, because knowledge of the things of God and His kingdom are certainly vital to our growth. But such knowledge must be pursued from the right motives if it is to be effective. Why? Because true change in the heart does not come from the direction of the intellect. Rather, the genuine source of change in our heart is the result of the indwelling presence of the Spirit of God bringing our spirit alive to Him. Jesus said, “But when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth.”(John 16:3) He does this by disclosing to us—Spirit to spirit—revelatory truth within, as well as spiritually quickening what we learn through our intellect.

The Good News: Part 6

By faith I have received all that God has promised (Galatians 3:22). And in the very same way that I have received Christ Jesus the Lord—that is, as a free gift—I am now to walk in Him (Colossians 2:6).

It was for freedom that Christ set me free. Therefore, I will stand firm and not subject myself again to the yoke of slavery (Galatians 5:1). For the promises of God are valid for me only if I continue in the faith, firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel (Colossians 1:23).

The hope of God’s promise is that by grace I have been saved through faith This is the gift of God, not a result of my own goodness or deeds (Ephesians 2:8-9). In this same way I have every opportunity to attain to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding—the true knowledge of God’s mystery, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:2-3).
