The Good News: Part 1

Just what is it that sets apart the revelation of Christ’s gospel entrusted to Paul? I’m sure you’ll see what’s so special when you read the following brief synopsis of what it actually encompasses. Here it is,  a seven part series presented in the first person so that you might get a better sense of its glorious impact for each of us personally:

God the Father sent Jesus, God the Son, among us to bring the truth of His promise of eternal life for all those who believe (Romans 3:22). Jesus emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, being made in the likeness of men (Phil. 2:7). In so doing, He is able to sympathize with my weaknesses, having been tempted in all things as I am, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15).

He first suffered beyond what any of us can imagine at the hands of His accusers, and died an excruciating execution by crucifixion where He made propitiation (an appeasing sacrifice) for all the sins of humanity by taking the punishment for those sins upon Himself (Hebrews 2:17).

Jesus was then raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, and has given me the promise of eternal life in Him. Having received His promise by faith, I have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, and as a result also share in the likeness of His glorious resurrection (Romans 6:4-5).

Receive and Release

My child, I give you gifts so you can give them away. I equip you so you can go out and equip others. As I have gone before you, you go before those who I have placed in your life. There are no wasted moments. I use all things to work together for good. Don’t live your life in a perpetual state of regret and sorrow. Take up your cross daily and follow Me. We’ve got places to go and people to love. Look forward and press on to the upward call I have placed on you. Receive and release each and every gift I send your way.

Universal Principles

Put God first and everything else will fall into place.

Love God with your whole heart and your heart will be fulfilled, complete and satisfied.

Give abundantly and God will give to you abundantly.

Forgive and you will be forgiven.

Go after God’s plan for your life and God will give you the desires of your heart.

Be last, then you will be first.

Honor your parents and live a long life.

Be frugal and wise and God will give you more.

Whatever God gives you to do, do it as unto Him. He will reward you

Don’t be touchy or get offended easily. Rather love and serve your enemies and those who offend or persecute you. God will deal with them.

Eat less and exercise more. Your body will serve you well.

To have a happy good life, choose to be happy and have a good attitude, no matter what you’re going through. The choice is up to you.

Choose love over hate.

Choose life over death.

Choose to believe and not doubt.

I Say Possible

My child, what you see as impossible, I say “possible”. When you are weak, I am strength. Get your eyes off yourself and look to Me. Quit relying on yourself and trust Me. Life is not a cake walk, it’s a faith walk. All I am asking you to do is believe.

“Do not be unbelieving, but believing. Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed. John 20: 27 & 29.

Pray On!

My child, I reach down and deliver those who are in the pit. Those who call to Me I will deliver. I will release them from the bondage of the evil one. Raise up My banner and shout for joy. I came to set the captives free. I came to give sight to the blind. Victory is Mine and the enemy has been defeated. Join Me in intercession for the lost. Be the laborers in My field. The harvest is ripe and the reapers are coming. My lovingkindness extends to the whole earth and I wish none to perish. Pray on My child. Pray on.

Pursuing Biblical Truth

Our pursuit of biblical truth is a lot like a prospector searching for gold. Rather than blindly tunneling into any old mountain in hopes of discovering the mother lode, he first looks for evidence of the precious metal on the surface. Likewise, as we see that first glimmer of truth within the pages of God’s Word, it becomes abundantly clear that there is true treasure waiting there to be uncovered. And this provides us the motivation to dig deeper, just like the miner must do when he senses there are riches to be gained. But let’s be honest; digging is a lot of work.

We find, though, that focused effort brings immediate rewards, because there’s a purpose for boring into that mountain. The miner is following a vein and consequently pulls out gold as he goes—sometimes less and sometimes more. God’s Word is a lot like that. As we dig beneath the surface, we are immediately rewarded with truth. Yes, sometimes it goes a little slowly, but other times we hit it big—sometimes even the mother lode. Diligence and perseverance always pay off because the knowledge we gain little by little lays a solid foundation for more.

You Are Mine

My child, I am gracious to you and I raise you up. I uphold you and set you in My presence forever. I sustain you and restore you because I love you. Nothing will snatch you out of My hand. You belong to Me. I have chosen you from the foundation of the world. You are Mine. Rest in the assurance of My love. Be at peace My child, and do not fret about your current situation. Turn it over to Me and let Me handle it. Trust Me in this and remain in My love.
