Truth vs Lies

My child, do not walk in fear. Don’t believe the lies of Satan over My Word. For the mountains may be removed and the hills make shake, but My lovingkindess will not be removed from you and My covenant of peace will not be shaken. For I the Lord have compassion on you. Believe Me and My Word and don’t let the lies of the evil one get in and take root. Keep your mind on My truth.

Isaiah 54:10

Mystery of Freedom

God’s approach to freedom has dumbfounded believers from the very inception of the Church. Why? Because it flies in the face of the elementary principles (earning or way to God) of the world, with which man has reached a certain level of comfort. In our humanity, we just don’t see things the way God does. But that doesn’t mean that His truths must remain shrouded in secrecy.

To be sure, the mystery has been solved! Jesus Christ—“God’s mystery”—is the answer.(John 1:18, Colossians 1:26-27 & 2:2-3) And God’s eternal intent and purpose has not only been openly divulged to His children, but also has been broadcast through the Church to every spiritual being of any authority throughout His creation.(Ephesians 3:9-10)

The reason God’s grace is often so hard for us to comprehend is twofold: not only does it come as a free gift, but it’s also easy to miss because of its sheer simplicity. We think we ought to earn our way. Such a strategy makes a whole lot more sense to us as humans, so we instinctively devise more difficult steps in an attempt to accomplish it. Thankfully God has a better plan!

Truth

My child, anxiety will weigh your heart down, but a good word makes it glad. Speak My Words over your life. Stop believing the enemies lies. Stop dwelling on the negative. Pray and say My truths. Walk in faith and resist the devil. He will flee as you declare My Words over your life. Learn to walk by faith, not by sight.

Proverbs 12:25    2 Corinthians 5:7

What Are You Overcome With?

Second Peter 2:19 says, “For by what a man is overcome, by this is he enslaved.”

My child, are you overcome with fear, guilt, anxiety or shame? Or are you overcome with truth, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control? Those who belong to Me have crucified the flesh with it’s passions and desires. If you live by the Spirit you will also walk by the Spirit. Choose to walk in Me today.

Galatians: 5:22-25

Pursuing Biblical Truth

Our pursuit of biblical truth is a lot like a prospector searching for gold. Rather than blindly tunneling into any old mountain in hopes of discovering the mother lode, he first looks for evidence of the precious metal on the surface. Likewise, as we see that first glimmer of truth within the pages of God’s Word, it becomes abundantly clear that there is true treasure waiting there to be uncovered. And this provides us the motivation to dig deeper, just like the miner must do when he senses there are riches to be gained. But let’s be honest; digging is a lot of work.

We find, though, that focused effort brings immediate rewards, because there’s a purpose for boring into that mountain. The miner is following a vein and consequently pulls out gold as he goes—sometimes less and sometimes more. God’s Word is a lot like that. As we dig beneath the surface, we are immediately rewarded with truth. Yes, sometimes it goes a little slowly, but other times we hit it big—sometimes even the mother lode. Diligence and perseverance always pay off because the knowledge we gain little by little lays a solid foundation for more.
