Fantasy Toward Reality

Why does fantasy come so easily to us? Is it just for fun? Or as we grow older, an escape from reality? Possibly. But just maybe we’re reaching into the very depths of our being, into the realm of the Spirit, sensing a little taste of God’s ultimate purpose for us.

Have you experienced what I’m talking about? Have you sensed the feeling of being cut out for something great—an intuition that I truly am more than what I appear to be? Of course you have! If nothing else, it took place as a child. It happened before the reality and rigors of life smothered it. It cropped up before you decided that it made a whole lot more sense to settle for the mediocre.

That sense of special purpose can be re-energized. It’s been God’s intention all along!

My Purpose Will be Established

My child, I am God and there is no other. I am God, and there is no one like Me. I declare the end from the beginning and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, My purpose will be established. I will accomplish all My good pleasure. Truly I have spoken, truly I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, surely I will do it. Believe Me My child. Remove all doubts and place your faith in Me. I WILL bring it to pass.

Isaiah 46: 9-11

My Path For Your Life

“My child, I give your life order. I put you on My path and bring you into your purpose. All things come together as you seek Me above everything else. Give up striving to get your own way. Let go of all control. Become the person I’ve made you to be. The plan I have for your life is so much better than what you have in mind. Give Me your life and watch Me perform miracles.”

Your Father in heaven who adores you.

The Good News: Part 7

I know that God causes all things to work together for good for me, because I love Him and am called according to His purpose. For God knew me before the beginning of time, and as a result has predestined me to be conformed to the image of His Son (Romans 8:28-29). Through Him I now rejoice in my tribulations, for I know that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that is to be revealed to me (Romans 5:3 & 8:18). I take solace in the fact that my suffering is merely a means of reinforcing my perseverance, refining my character, and providing me hope (Romans 5:3-5).

My salvation is secure, because nothing shall separate me from the love of Christ (Romans 8:35). So He has promised! Even though I know that I will one day stand before the judgment seat of God, I have no fear, for in that day I shall be found sheltered in Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:10, Colossians 3:3). My perishable body will be raised in glory (1 Corinthians 15:42-43). Just as my nature has borne the image of the earthly, I shall also bear the image of the heavenly, since He will transform the body of my humble state into conformity with the body of His glory (1 Corinthians 15:49, Philippians 3:21).

It’s Not About You

My child, this life you live is not just about you, your calling, your place or your final outcome. Your life here on earth is about Me. How can I use you to impact this lost and hurting world? How can you serve Me and be about My business? When people get their eyes off themselves and on to Me, I can open up all kinds of opportunities. This life is about service, obedience and love. Only when you’re completely surrendered and devoid of self can I make an impact in this world.

Keep Listening

My child, I will lead you in the way you should go. Listen to Me. My word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Heed My word and you will not stumble. I have created you for My purposes and when you listen to Me and willingly obey Me, I bring about every plan and purpose I have for you. You need not fear or doubt. Keep listening. Keep obeying. Watch as I do the impossible. Believe My child. Faith is was pleases Me most.
