Listen and Obey

My child, your life is not your own. You are here for My purpose. Listen to the Holy Spirit. Listen and obey. I will lead you to the path of life as you walk in My ways. Don’t be distracted by the culture. Don’t give in to doubt and unbelief. I came to save those who are lost and I am using you in that process. Keep believing.

Believe And Obey

My child, I am here in your midst. Pray at all times and know that I hear you. Make the most of your time and learn to take time to rest. Don’t let your life be full of distractions. I have My plan for you. Simply believe Me and walk by My Spirit. I will carry out what I have destined for you. Only believe and obey.

In The Midst Of Trouble

My child, though you walk in the midst of trouble, I will revive you. I will accomplish what concerns you. My lovingkindness is everlasting and I do not forsake the works of My hands. Let your trust and hope be in Me alone. Believe My word and walk in faith. I am working on your behalf and you will see My glory as you continue to obey Me.

Psalm 138: 7-8

Faith Evidenced by Obedience

To answer this question of the weakness of the flesh, we must look beyond the question of sin to the issue of faith. Faith is the basis for our relationship with God.(John 1:12, Ephesians 2:8) It is simply impossible to come into relationship with God without it.(Hebrews 11:6) Our faith is God’s supreme treasure, and our obedience to Him is the evidence that faith exists within us.

Paul talks about “the obedience of faith.”(Romans 16:26) In Romans 6:16 he tells us: “…when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness.” Therefore, obedience is the litmus test of faith—the proof that faith exists.

In the same way, disobedience clearly reveals the presence of unbelief. In talking about the Israelites’ sin in the wilderness, the writer of Hebrews says: “And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient? So we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.”(Hebrews 3:18-19) Here sin and unbelief are inextricably linked.

Disobedience—sin—is born of unbelief. So when we sin, we prove that we harbor some level of unbelief in our heart. To test this hypothesis, just imagine how you would behave if Jesus, in all His glory, visibly appeared to you. Would you sin? Of course not! The last thing you would want to do is displease Him in any way. Unbelief would be totally eradicated, and therefore disobedience wouldn’t be an option at all.

Spend Time with Me

My child, do you want to be more like Me? Spend more time with Me. Do the things I do. Follow My lead and obey Me. You end up acting like the ones you’re around most. So choose carefully who you spend time with. Make sure you’re prepared before you go out among unbelievers. The only way to be prepared is spending time with Me.

Romans 8:29

Keep Listening

My child, I will lead you in the way you should go. Listen to Me. My word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Heed My word and you will not stumble. I have created you for My purposes and when you listen to Me and willingly obey Me, I bring about every plan and purpose I have for you. You need not fear or doubt. Keep listening. Keep obeying. Watch as I do the impossible. Believe My child. Faith is was pleases Me most.
