Your Destiny

Beloved, do not let your heart be troubled, trust in Me. Give over your thoughts, your desires, your plans and I will turn you toward your destiny. I will fulfill everything I have in mind for you as you continue to abide in Me. Allow Me to live through you. Know that My ways are so much higher than yours. My love for you is endless. My plans for you are good. Seek Me and I will show you the way.

Be Absorbed

My child, do not neglect the spiritual gift within you. Take pains with these things. Be absorbed in them so that your progress will be evident to all. Be absorbed in My Word. I am equipping you for good work. Be on your guard and obey My Word. Then you will bear much fruit and fulfill your destiny.

1 Timothy 14-15

Believe And Obey

My child, I am here in your midst. Pray at all times and know that I hear you. Make the most of your time and learn to take time to rest. Don’t let your life be full of distractions. I have My plan for you. Simply believe Me and walk by My Spirit. I will carry out what I have destined for you. Only believe and obey.

Your Destiny

My child, I am changing your thought processes. I am giving you My desires. The things you thought were of utmost importance will fade away in comparison with what I have for you. Your life is in My hands and I know the outcome. As you draw closer to Me, you will want Me more and the things of the world will lose their grip on your affections. I am jealous for you. I have so much to give you. Don’t waste your time worrying about the things of the world when I have a glorious plan awaiting you. Set your heart and affections on Me alone. Only then will you come into the calling and destiny I have planned for you.

Glorified Bodies

Here’s what Paul tells us about the destiny for the physical body for those who are in Christ: “So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.”(1 Corinthians 15:42-44)

Thus the destiny of our threefold being is to be transformed into some sort of spiritual being—don’t ask me just what, but no doubt something much like Jesus became upon His resurrection.(1 John 3:2) My point is this: our ultimate destiny is not simply to throw off the baggage of our physical body when going to be with the Lord, but a melding of the elements of our nature into a glorified being who retains the original stamp of humanity.

Our body is to be transformed into that which is capable of enjoying a full and eternal union with our Creator.(Philippians 3:21) Our spirit is the starting place of that union here and now.(Revelation 3:20: “Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him, and will dine with him, and he with Me”.)
