You Are

You are created for so much more than the culture would have you believe. You are destined for Kingdom, Royalty, to rule and reign. You are of Nobility. You are washed in My blood, sanctified, justified and are an established child of God. You are secure, protected and defended by the Holy Spirit. Do not believe the lies of the evil one. Rise up and take your rightful position. I have called you and I will guide you. Walk in the power I have provided.

Domain of Darkness

What is this “domain of darkness” the Bible talks about? Is this darkness merely sin, or should it also be thought of as a state of lawlessness? Actually, sin and lawlessness are one and the same(1 John 3:4).

It’s helpful to see that sin, by its very nature, is a shunning of God’s law. The citizens of the kingdom of darkness are those who rebelliously make sin the practice of their life. They spurn what they know of God, willfully choosing the opposite of His revealed law—or at least carefully skirting it.

They live in rebellion against God. And yes, without Christ, even those who are considered to be good people fall into this category.

Jesus Is the Kingdom

Paul tells us that God has, “…delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”(Colossians 1:12-13) But it’s a little hard to believe, isn’t it? Being trapped in these fleshly bodies here in this fallen world leads us to believe anything but. Yet it’s true!

Did you notice here that this is another of those “in Him” verses? Being “in Christ” is synonymous with being redeemed—rescued from the domain of darkness while simultaneously birthed as God’s child into Christ’s kingdom. But we need some fresh thinking about what it actually means to be a son or daughter of His kingdom. Why? Because Christ’s kingdom isn’t merely some sort of divine institution here on earth, or even that glorious place where we go once we die; Jesus is the kingdom!

Intimacy With God

My child, I have chosen gladly to give you the kingdom. I rejoice over every soul that believes in Me as Lord. I eagerly await the day when we are together in heaven and you experience My glory in full. You can experience Me here and now also. Draw near and enter the intimacy I have for you.

“The glory which You have given Me, I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one.” John 17:22

Luke 12:32  John 17:24

Kingdom Living

My child, I have set you apart. You belong to Me. Avoid getting caught up in all the world has to offer. You are a soldier in My Kingdom. Don’t entangle yourself in the affairs of everyday life. You are not to go after the worldly but the heavenly prize. Start thinking more about Kingdom living and less about earthly surviving. Start focusing on Me and seeking My face and stop trying to please people who don’t care about your soul. Consider yourself dead to sin and alive to Me.

The Good News: Part 3

God the Father has rescued me from the domain of darkness and transferred me to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom I have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:13-14). I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me (Galatians 2:20).

My old self was crucified with Him so that my body of sin might be done away with, so that I would no longer be a slave to sin (Romans 6:6). I have died and I am freed from sin by being released from the law to which I was bound (Romans 7:4-6). Since Christ is in me, though my body is dead because of sin, yet my spirit is alive because of righteousness (Romans 8:10).
