Fear or Faith? You choose

My child, today you have the opportunity to either believe Me or be fearful. The choice is yours. My desire is that you put your faith in Me and not fear.  Fear is a powerful emotion, but with Me you can overcome it. You can say no to fear and live your life in faith, the way I designed you to live. You are in control of your choices. Think about this. Can you change the outcome if you decide to worry and fret? But if you resolve to trust Me, I will lead you through with My power and strength. Would you rather rely on your own or Mine? You choose.

Self-Will

A commonly taught principle relevant to God’s purpose for man is that he is endowed with free will. It is said that man is a free moral agent, meaning he possesses unrestricted power in making moral choices.Indeed, how could God possibly have designed man devoid of the power of choice? He had to give him the ability to choose—not merely between right and wrong, but more importantly choice in regard to the lordship of God over his life.

Yet what appears on the surface to be the ability to choose freely, is in a very real sense something more than merely free will.

Man’s rejection of God as Lord of his life does not in any way mean that he possesses the ability of free choice in regard to everything else. Rather, in refusing to accept God’s purpose and plan for his life, he inevitably opens himself up to control by some other outside force.  And this force is ultimately Satan. But the tool the devil uses to subjugate mankind is man’s will—a will inherently rooted in self-interest. So we should instead think of this self-serving attribute of man’s nature—what we commonly call free will—as self-will.

Choice with Teeth!

Why does God allow us to encounter so much conflict and hardship in life? How does it all fit in with His plan to bring us into union with Him? Choice is the answer!

Our redemption does not merely rest on our initial decision to make Jesus Lord of our life. It’s true that receiving Christ as Lord is the bedrock of our salvation, but our relationship with Him is built on a series of decisions we make over the course of a lifetime. Because life’s circumstances are tough, these choices are rarely easy. God allowed sin to exist for this very reason.

If God had designed things so that it would be easy to follow Him, our choices would have little meaning. Our pursuit of Jesus, while forsaking our own selfish desires, is what He wants. And He’s created the ideal system to measure our progress: life here on earth.

Universal Principles

Put God first and everything else will fall into place.

Love God with your whole heart and your heart will be fulfilled, complete and satisfied.

Give abundantly and God will give to you abundantly.

Forgive and you will be forgiven.

Go after God’s plan for your life and God will give you the desires of your heart.

Be last, then you will be first.

Honor your parents and live a long life.

Be frugal and wise and God will give you more.

Whatever God gives you to do, do it as unto Him. He will reward you

Don’t be touchy or get offended easily. Rather love and serve your enemies and those who offend or persecute you. God will deal with them.

Eat less and exercise more. Your body will serve you well.

To have a happy good life, choose to be happy and have a good attitude, no matter what you’re going through. The choice is up to you.

Choose love over hate.

Choose life over death.

Choose to believe and not doubt.
