The End

We survived once again ~ It was NOT the end.
12/21/12 came and went despite the Mayan’s trend.

Jesus is coming make no mistake.
But at a time no one expects for heaven sake.

Just make sure you’re ready when the day finally comes.
Eternity’s at stake here, and My Father wants tons.

But His bride is to be spotless, pure and ready.
Live your life now on the straight and steady.

He’ll give you more than one chance, but don’t wait till the end.
You might be surprised when His angel He sends.

To blow that last trumpet and call His own home.
On this you can depend on…don’t be left all alone.

Run to God

By its very nature, sin—especially hidden sin—just naturally opens wide the floodgates of guilt and shame. So we try to bury it, just like everyone else does, hoping that those around us will never discover who we really are.

Satan has used the tool of shame in countless Christians’ lives to drag them into a back-slidden condition where alienation from God becomes a way of life. Just think how being more open about our weaknesses would serve to cripple this strategy the devil so routinely exploits.(James 5:16)

Rather than allowing sin to drive us from God, we need to run headlong to God when we sin. This can be very difficult for us, though, because we’ve been taught throughout life to behave ourselves. And when we don’t, our conscience tells us we must clean up our act before we can ever go to God with the problem. After all, how else might we feel like we’re worthy enough to deserve His help? Though this assumption is entirely false, it’s very real to us all the same.

Rejoice Always

My child, rejoice in Me always and let your gentle spirit be known to all men for I am near. Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to Me, and My peace which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. Let your mind dwell on excellent and worthy thoughts and My peace will be with you.

Philippians 4: 4-9

Shame

Because the problem of sin is so persistent in Christians’ lives—whether it be overt, or the more covert sin of attitudes and motivations of the heart—our most common response is to cover it up. We simply try to appear to be more respectable and holy than we actually are. Do you think pride has something to do with this? I think that’s a foregone conclusion! The really sad thing is that this cover-up unavoidably leads to an oppressive sense of shame.

Shame has a crippling effect in a person’s life. Psychologists tell us that it is often at the heart of emotional disturbance and dysfunction. So it’s not hard to see how Satan—who is called “the accuser of our brethren”(Revelation 12:10)—can use it so effectively as a wedge to bring about our alienation from God.

Our first instinct is to run and hide from God when we sin, isn’t it? The reason we do this is not only because we intuitively sense God’s displeasure, but that we think no one else has these problems. “How could I do something so despicable, so displeasing to God? What inner flaw would provoke me to even think of such a thing?”

Shine Through

My child, take heart. You have My treasure in your earthly body, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of Me and not from yourself. You are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying around in your body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in your body. I will shine through those who are wholly devoted to Me.

2 Corinthians 4: 7-10

Healthy Living

“Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited,” Hebrews 13:9 says.

For many of us the quest for ‘Healthy Living’ is an ongoing process. Our bodies are so unique in the way we process and digest foods. We’re individual in our tastes and how our bodies respond with a particular way of eating.

One thing that keeps coming back to me over and over and over again are these three principles taken from the book, “What The Bible Says About Healthy Living” by Rex Russell, M.D.

1. Eat the Foods God Created for You.

2. Don’t Alter God’s Design.

3. Don’t Let Any Food or Drink Become your God.

Keeping these three principles in mind, you can move forward and create ANY eating plan that will serve your body well. I love that God keeps it so simple. There is NEVER any confusion when you go to Him and allow Him to flow in and through you with wisdom, understanding and knowledge. His ways are so much higher, but He shares His ways by giving us the Mind of Christ.

Press into Him. Seek Him first. He will add everything else you need if you do.

Matthew 6:33

Pray ~ Love ~ Forgive

My child, I am coming swiftly to redeem My bride. I will deal with those who have been unjust. I will repay those who have persecuted My church. I will punish those who have inflicted pain and suffering. I am God and vengeance is Mine. I have called you to pray, love and forgive. I have chosen you to be My mouthpiece, My hands and My feet. I have given you the mandate to proclaim My Name, to make My Name known to a lost and hurting world. Do not lose hope and do not grow weary. My plan and purpose is being established on this earth. Hope in Me. Preach the Good News. I will return and redeem My pure and spotless bride.

Romans 12:19

Wait On Me

My child, wait on Me. Wait in My Presence and listen for My Voice. For in My Presence is wisdom and joy, comfort and strength, encouragement and healing. Everything you need can be found by waiting in My Presence. Don’t rush our time together. Linger here. Be filled by all I desire to give you. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
