Cease Striving

My child, I am in the midst of you. You will not be moved. I will help you when the morning dawns. Cease striving and know that I am God. Keep your eyes open and watch what I am doing. I make your way straight. I bring you out of darkness and into the Light. Look to Me. Worship Me. Glorify Me. I am victorious and I win this battle.

Psalm 46:5 & 10

Grab Hold Of My Hand

My child, lift up your eyes. See My hand of love and mercy reaching out to you. Grab hold of My hand and walk with Me today. Leave yesterday in the past. Focus on Me today. I will show you My glory as you look to Me and delight yourself in Me. Take your eyes off of yourself and off of the past. Today is a new day. Rejoice and be glad in it!!

Psalm 118:24

Enjoy Your Life

My child, whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might. Do it as if you were working for Me for I am Lord over all. I roam the whole earth looking for those who serve Me with their whole hearts, and I delight when I find them. Keep your ways pure and your attitude right. Learn the find joy in everything you do. People are watching and they will be drawn to Me as you learn to enjoy your life in Me.

Ecclesiastes 9:10   2 Chronicles 16:8

Be Strong and Courageous

My child, I have placed you here to extract the precious from the worthless. You will become My spokesman. People will turn to you, but you must not turn to them. Trust wholly in Me, and do not lean on your own understanding. I will give you everything you need to accomplish what I have given you to do. Be strong and courageous.
Jeremiah 15:19  Proverbs 3:5   Joshua 1:9

Created for God’s Use

Everything we were ever created to be is wrapped up in Jesus Christ. Coming to the realization of who we truly are in Christ is the first step toward discovering His purpose for us because it lays in us the sense of self-worth needed to confidently step out in serving Him. And the better we get to know Him personally, the more He can impart His will to us.

So first and foremost is the need to develop a lifestyle of communing with God, because the intimacy essential to discovering His will can be achieved in no other way. But I want to emphasize that prayer is a two-way street—we speak and we listen.

Doesn’t it stand to reason that if God has in fact prepared good works for us to walk in He would need to let us know in some way what they are? Look at all those people in the Bible whom God chose to use in one way or another. Not only did they hear from God, but they clearly discerned what He was saying to them. Even if their revelation might have been a bit murky in the beginning, what He wanted eventually came to light as they went about trying to obey Him.

Mountain Top ‘High’

My child, don’t be addicted to the ‘Highs’ of life. Most people want to live on a mountain top, but you’re going to spend most of your time in the valley. I have you down there for a reason. That’s where the lost dwell. You will experience mountain top experiences, but concentrate on bringing others with you. Don’t settle for going up alone. Bring My lost sheep along

The Narrow Road

My child, the path I have you on is not the easy road. The way is narrow, tough and full of obstacles, and few are those who choose to travel it. The easy way is broad, downhill and effortless, but leads to destruction. I didn’t put you on this earth to just coast. I put you here to fight. Let Me teach you to fight in My Name and be the overcomer you were meant to be.

Matthew 7:13

You are My child

My child, because you have loved Me, therefore I will deliver you. I will set you securely on high, because you have known My Name. You will call upon Me, and I will answer you. I will be with you in trouble. I will rescue you and honor you. With a long life I will satisfy you and let you see My salvation. You are MY child and no one can snatch you out of My hand!

Psalm 91:14-16   John 10:28

Live In The Now

My child, let go of the past and embrace Me today. You tend to either regret the past or place all your hope in the future, but I want you to live in the NOW. See what I’m doing today. Live in the present. Be engaged in today. I have forgiven your past and I’ll take care of your future. Make the most of today.

Matthew 6:33-34

“God is the God of the now! He sees our future, and He knows our past. But for Him it’s always now. Because God is eternal, we touch eternity when we enter life in Him. So just think how our life might change by living in the present, rather than putting all our hope in the future or being hobbled by the past.” Taken from Free From The Power Of Sin by Dan Lemburg available at CommuningWithGod.org
