About Karen Lemburg

Hi I'm Karen, wife, mother and grandmother. I am on the journey of a more intimate relationship with God. I'm blessed to married to a wonderful husband who is also in pursuit of intimacy with our Lord. We work together in real estate and ministry. We have four children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

What I’m learning so far

This takes work. There’s no doubt about it. But is it worth it?  I’ve been putting together the talk for the ladies breakfast that I was asked to speak at about health and fitness and it’s taking a ton of work. Everything in life that is worth something usually does. It’s just a fact of life.

I was reading about what the famous basketball coach John Wooden said to his players. He told them that he didn’t consider winning the most important thing. As a matter of fact, he never mentioned winning to his players. He stressed “best effort” for everybody and felt that a player should feel badly only if he didn’t give it his all. That really hit me this morning as I was running alongside my 21 year old friend. We’re side by side as long as we’re running at a steady pace, but when it’s time to sprint, she bolts out way ahead of me. Knowing I was giving it MY best effort, put all feelings of failure of not being able to keep up with her away. I felt great that I had given it my my all and I could feel proud of my work out. I don’t dread her sprinting ahead anymore. She is 30 years younger than me, so I shouldn’t be feeling bad anyway. I guess that’s just my competitive nature.

I’m feeling stronger in my legs and lungs. I’m looking forward to, not dreading Hiit days. I’m lifting heavier and feeling leaner. Not bad for only 5 1/2 weeks work. Is it worth it? I’d say it is!

Do Your Job

My child, only I can change the heart. Only I can speak to the soul. You can pray, but I will turn the light on where there is darkness. You do your job and pray. I am doing Mine. I am working even when you don’t see results. Keep praying and keep believing. Trust Me to work this all out for good.

My Purpose Will be Established

My child, I am God and there is no other. I am God, and there is no one like Me. I declare the end from the beginning and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, My purpose will be established. I will accomplish all My good pleasure. Truly I have spoken, truly I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, surely I will do it. Believe Me My child. Remove all doubts and place your faith in Me. I WILL bring it to pass.

Isaiah 46: 9-11

My Path For Your Life

“My child, I give your life order. I put you on My path and bring you into your purpose. All things come together as you seek Me above everything else. Give up striving to get your own way. Let go of all control. Become the person I’ve made you to be. The plan I have for your life is so much better than what you have in mind. Give Me your life and watch Me perform miracles.”

Your Father in heaven who adores you.

Opportunities and Challenges

My child, I have opened up this door for you. Go through in faith. I have provided you with everything you need so be strong and courageous. Walk in My confidence and peace. Do not fear. I have opened wide the opportunities, but there will be challenges attached to them. Press through and don’t give up. You will develop your full potential when you persevere and endure.

Past Regrets

My child, let go of the past with all it’s regrets. I have a whole new life for you waiting to be lived. As long as you live in the past you can’t experience the joys I have for you today. Give Me your past and trust Me with your future. Live today to the full. I am here with you now. Believe Me for this moment. I came to give you abundant life today. Today is the day that I have made. Rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118: 24

Forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3: 13-14

“Never let the sense of failure corrupt your new action” Oswald Chambers

Adversity

My child, do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look around you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Shall you indeed accept good from Me and not accept adversity?

Consider My work, for who is able to straighten what I have bent? In the day of prosperity be happy, but in the day of adversity consider, I have made the one as well as the other so that man will not discover anything that will be after him.
