My child, I will come and speak with you when you take the time to listen. You can’t hear me when you’re rushed or distracted. Slow down and listen for My still small voice. Wait in My Presence. You’ll hear what I have to say.
New Year ~ New Goals
So, have you written down your goals for 2014 yet? If not, now is the time. Life gets busy and before we know it the year has gone by. Why not spend some time thinking and praying about what God would want you to do this year. Maybe create some new habits in your nutrition and fitness. Maybe it’s time to look to see where you can give more of your time. Being involved in something outside of yourself is a great way to spend your life. People are happiest when they are giving, reaching out, being a part of something bigger than just themselves. Look to see what your church is involved in and see if that might be where God might want you to serve. Is there a need in your community that you see needs help? Volunteer and become part of the solution. Life is way too short to be self absorbed. Why not look around and see if there might be a place that only you can make a difference. Why set goals? It helps you to focus and dream and work toward something. It brings purpose to your life. It gives you a sense of accomplishment when you reach it. It just makes life more exciting. Take some time and set a plan in place. If it’s not exactly where God wants you to go, He’ll steer you in the right direction. Just get moving forward. He can’t steer a ship that’s not moving. Make it a wonderful, healthy and blessed New Year. Set some goals!
My Yoke is Easy
My child, come to Me when you are weary and you’ll find rest for your soul. Lay down your burdens at the foot of My Cross. My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Stop fighting Me. Stop doing things your own way. Surrender to Me and find the rest you so desperately need.
Matthew 11:28-30
Specific Purpose
My child, live in the knowledge that I am with you every moment of every day. I am right here now. Live in My Presence and I will illumine your path. I have you here for a specific purpose. I will show you what that is as you step out in faith and follow Me with your whole heart.
Psalm 18:28 Galatians 5:16
Faith vs. Belief
It’s helpful to understand that while the terms faith and belief carry the same meaning when used in Scripture, this is not necessarily the case in the secular use of these terms. In the secular context one can certainly believe something whether or not he first hopes for it. So belief may differ from faith in that regard.
Can you see how our Biblical belief in God can vary dramatically from the way a worldly person is likely to perceive it? Understanding the difference between the two can help greatly when sharing with nonbelievers about belief in God.
Wait Patiently
Wait patiently for Me My child. I hear your cry. I brought you up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and set your feet upon a rock making your footsteps firm. I put a new song in your mouth, a song of praise. Many will see and fear and will trust in Me.
Psalm 40 1-3
Be Ready
My child, I am returning to a pure and spotless bride. I am calling a people to Myself. You will see the in-gathering of lost souls returning to Me. You will be a part of the great awakening. It’s coming. Be ready for I am at the door.
Faith
My child, I am looking for people of faith. I am asking you to believe Me. I know your needs and the cry of your heart. Trust Me in this season of your life.
Don’t Worry
My child, do not spend your life worrying. Being anxious or worried will not do you any good, so don’t do it. Break out of the habit of worry and into the habit of seeking and trusting Me. I will take care of your tomorrows. Enjoy and rejoice in today. This is the day that I have made, rejoice and be glad in it!
Matthew 6:25-34 Psalm 118:24
I Delight In You
I delight in you My child. I long to be with you. I rejoice over you and take joy in being with you. You bless Me when you spend time with Me. I bless you because I love you and you are Mine. Nothing can snatch you out of My protective hand.
