During his Roman captivity, Paul recorded several prayers in his letters to three different churches. What’s remarkable is their perfect agreement with one another, which all the more stresses their importance for us. Each prayer begins with the necessity of being filled with the knowledge of God’s will. Paul knows this can only happen by means of revelation—God speaking His truth straight into our heart. There is no other way to gain true understanding!
We lean heavily on our knowledge of the Bible for God’s truth. Yet while the Bible is indeed the primary means of grasping His reality, it means very little if our understanding is merely intellectual. Rather, we must keep in mind what was at the forefront of Paul’s exhortation. God Himself must be the one to impart His truth as we read and meditate. Open yourself up to His leading. He will speak if we let Him.
Reflection
My child, I am revealing things to you which you have not known. You are in a place to receive all that I have for you. Remain open to Me and My Word. Be available for Me to come and flood you with My Presence, My Spirit and My joy. Come and sit at My feet and learn My ways. I will unveil the mysteries and open your heart to take in all I have for you. You will be a reflection of Me as you learn, grow and move forward in Me. In Me are pleasures forever. In Me is fullness of joy. I am your all and all. I am everything you need. I love your childlike faith. I love your obedience to what I am telling you to do. The more you obey, the more I will pour in and through you. Receive it, give it away, and be ready for more. My well never runs dry.
I Will Lead You
Listen carefully and heed My words. Do not go the way of the world or take the path of fools. You are destined for a higher calling. Your path has been planned out by Me. Before the foundation of the world I set up your destiny and calling. Walk in My way for you. Do not choose your own way. Do not be distracted or detoured. Keep your eyes focused on Me. I am the Way, the Truth and the Light. Stay focused. I will keep you from stumbling. I will make your way clear. Your destiny awaits you My child. Take My hand and I will lead you, up mountains and through valleys. Let Me lead you to the place I have for you.
Let My Love Flow
In this world you will be persecuted. You see the injustice and the evil because your eyes are open to the Truth. But those who don’t know Me don’t know Truth. They do not see, they are blind. Pray that the eyes of their hearts be opened. Pray for their souls to be saved. I wish none to perish. I desire all to be saved. I came to seek and to save those who are lost. Let My love flow through you to this lost and hurting world.
Leave The Outcome To Me
My child, do what I tell you and leave the outcome to Me. You may not be the most popular person on the planet, but I will reward you for obeying Me. Do not look to others for your reward, or for affirmation. Look to Me alone. You must live by My standard, not the worlds. This causes the world to hate you at times. So be it. They hated Me too. But you, stand firm. I am with you. Never fear the world. Fear Me.
Sharing in Christ as Siblings
Scripture says that God “conforms us to the image of His Son, so that Jesus would be the firstborn among many brethren.” Think about the implications of this incredible statement. Considered to be His brothers? Really?
We like to describe our faith as a relationship rather than a religion. So we talk about having a personal relationship with Jesus (sometimes kind of flippantly). How often do we stop to think about what that really means? Well, I wholeheartedly agree with the concept of personal relationship with Christ, but I’d like to add something. What Jesus has going with us is not merely relationship: it’s RELATIONSHIP—a powerful, intimate, living relationship in which we are welcomed to share in the very life of God Himself.
But this raises a question: given the magnitude of the glory set before us, why would God create us like He did? Why this flesh with its countless problems?

Treasures In Heaven
Oh My child, if only you could see the world like I do. If only you had My eyes to gaze into the future and know your outcome is secure. Your destiny is in My hands. Your life here on earth is but a breath. When I said seek first the kingdom of God and all the other things will fall into place, I meant it. Put Me first, above all else. Make Me your number one priority. Follow Me with your whole heart. Leave all the other things to Me. I am your pearl of great value.
It’s Not About You
My child, it’s not about you, it’s about Me. I cannot operate fully in your life as long as you are wrapped up in yourself. Look to Me to escape from the trappings of self-centeredness. Lay yourself before Me and give over every bit of yourself. I long to do through you what only I can do through a totally surrendered vessel. I desire to powerfully work in and through you, but before that can happen, I must have a completely empty vessel. There is no room for pride My child. Pride will kill every bit of fruitfulness. Surrender then, your entire self and remember, it’s not about you. It’s about Me. Your God and Father, Creator and Lord.
Choose My Path
My child, do not embark on any new thing until you hear from Me. I have a path planned out for you and I need you to be fully ready and committed to following Me with your whole heart. I do not desire a divided heart. If you choose the way of the world, you will not succeed in the things I have for you. Surrender your plans. I know the desires of your heart. I will lead you. I will guide you. I will make your path straight.
Let Love Be Your Guide
When you serve, do it unto Me. Every act of kindness and every encouraging word will be as though you are giving them directly to Me. This is a blessing to Me. When I see My children blessing others, it blesses Me. I desire you to see with My eyes, to hear with My ears, to see through the veil and enter into My reality. Let love overtake you and be your guide. Look on every face with My love. Listen intently to what I am saying through every person you encounter. Love changes lives. So serve with love and let thanksgiving be in your heart and on your tongue. Be thankful in everything.
